Mamata Banerjee tears into Arun Jaitley's budget, call it clueless, useless

Minutes after Finance Minister presented the Union Budget in Parliament today, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee called it "clueless, useless and baseless".

Mamata-led Trinamool Congress have boycotted the first two days of the Budget Session to protest against demonetisation which it said "was implemented without taking Parliament into confidence".

Although absent from Parliament, Mamata Banerjee took to Twitter to lash out at the Finance Minister and called the Budget "misleading" and "full of jugglery of numbers and hollow words".

The West Bengal Chief Minister who has been leading the protest against government's demonetisation move demanded restrictions on withdrawals with immediate effect. "Tax payers still have restrictions on withdrawals. Remove all restrictions immediately," Mamata tweeted.

Calling the Budget controversial, the TMC chief said it did not present a roadmap for the country. She said the "government has lost all its credibility".

Besides demonetisation, the party in its statement ahead of the Budget session said it will raise the "issue of illegal arrest of its Lok Sabha leader and another MP". The TMC called it a "clear case of political vendetta by the ruling party  at the Centre by misusing CBI and abusing its power".
